Job Summary
Investigate automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles resulting in property damage and/or bodily injury with attorney or litigation involvement. Assess coverage, liability, and damages while providing exceptional customer service through voice calls, email, and text messages. Engage in negotiation processes to reach fair injury settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants. Execute policies along policy agreements and maintain clear, accurate documentation in the claims system. Utilize innovative platforms and tools to handle complex claims independently while managing time efficiently. This 100% Litigation Adjuster role supports Allstate's protection of families in California and NW States, requiring proficiency in casualty claim handling and familiarity with insurance policies. Candidates must obtain necessary adjuster or appraiser licenses within 60 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Casualty 100% Litigation third-party claim handling experience
- California candidates will be considered Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone, to establish rapport and assess claims accurately
- Ability to work independently and remotely, while managing time efficiently
- Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate and negotiate injury claims successfully
- Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for effective claims evaluation
- Notice of Licensing Requirement: obtain an adjuster and/or an appraiser license which includes passing an additional background check with the Department of Labor
- Secure license(s) within 60 days of hire
- Reliable internet is required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
- When working from home, you must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating
