Job Summary
Airs live and pre-recorded shows, regulates timing of programs, and operates syndicated programming while playing commercials and promotions as scheduled. Completes traffic logs, fixes discrepancies, and monitors station contests. Engineers remote broadcasts, follows station procedures, and performs on-air announcements or shifts as assigned. Takes transmitter readings, maintains logs, and updates weather, traffic, and news reports into automation equipment. Supports commercial production by dubbing music to hard disk and programming automation computers. Requires ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work nights, weekends, and holidays. Reports to Program Director in Columbus, OH.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Six months of experience and/or training
- Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
