Job Summary

Responsible for leading the telecom satellite systems and payloads bid activities. You will pilot the design of telecom payloads and satellite systems for business development of satellite systems, developing winning proposals, defining and proposing innovative solutions to meet client needs in accordance with product/system technical strategy. You will perform system compromises and define satellite architectures to achieve technical, cost, and schedule objectives, and you will be the primary author for technical proposal sections focused on customers’ sensitive points. You will manage client interfaces, assist customers in resolving technical issues, conduct needs analyses and business studies of satellites considering costs and risks, and coordinate with internal/external suppliers and other internal groups. You will contribute to defining technical specifications and selecting subcontractors, establish payload and system budgets, specify payload equipment, evaluate performance, and participate actively in bid reviews. You possess a Master or equivalent in space telecommunications or related field, strong payload knowledge, excellent communication skills, advanced English, at least 5 years’ experience in satellite systems engineering or related areas, and the ability to work in a multinational, autonomous, and collaborative environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Master or equivalent in telecommunications spatiales or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of payload equipment for telecommunications satellites
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; ability to write and present compelling proposals to varied stakeholders including senior level
  • Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in satellite systems engineering, payload IVVQ, subsystem engineering, or AIT
  • Solid knowledge in satellite system design and budget definition
  • Experience in customer relations, understanding client needs, and contributing to solution strategies
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a multinational team; capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and perform under pressure
  • Ability to travel to operators and engage in understand client requirements and opportunities
  • Autonomous problem-solving and strong teamwork abilities
  • Strong ability to draft technical proposal sections focused on client concerns
  • Experience in interface management with internal/external suppliers and other internal groups
  • Proven ability to define specifications and select subsystems and payload equipment
