Job Summary
Execute laboratory activities supporting product development, testing, and market competitiveness by designing experiments and evaluating mechanical, application, physical, and chemical properties. Generate and analyze test data to prepare comprehensive reports on application parameters for new and existing products while benchmarking performance against competitor samples. Evaluate and qualify new raw material sources to maintain quality and drive cost reduction. Conduct technical training sessions and demonstrate product applications to marketing associates, distributors, and customers. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and Environmental, Health & Safety compliance within the area of responsibility.
Required Qualifications
- M.Sc / B.Tech / M.Tech
- 4 – 8 years of experience
- Hands-on experience in testing products across Coatings, Construction, Adhesives, Electrical, Composites segments
- Strong understanding of performance evaluation and application methodologies
- Strong knowledge of polymer chemistries, particularly Epoxy, Polyurethane (PU), and Methacrylate systems
- Proficiency in handling laboratory and analytical equipment, including UTM, Impact Strength Tester, Viscometer, Gel Time Tester, DSC, FTIR, and GC
- Effective communication skills
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to prepare technical reports
- Must be based in Mumbai, India
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with testing methodologies for finished products across Coatings, Construction, Electrical & Electronics, Composites, and Adhesives
- Knowledge of packaging materials
- Knowledge of Hindi and local language
- Support packaging-related activities, including New Product Introductions (NPIs)
