Job Summary
Registered Nurse II - Emergency Services in a per diem night-shift role at EH Inter-Community Hospital (Covina, CA). Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients with acute or urgent conditions across a broad age range, including neonatal to geriatric. Requires current California RN license, BLS; ACLS and PALS within 3 months; Assaultive Behavior Training per AB508/SB1299 within 30 days; NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 3 months; EDAP/ENPC course when applicable; strong customer service and education for patients/families; ability to work every other weekend; 12-hour night shifts in an emergency department/critical care setting; preference for ED/critical care nursing experience and specialty certification (CEN). Pay range listed at $68.14/hour for this per-diem role; hospital mission emphasizes safe, compassionate patient care and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the State of California
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification within 3 months of hire
- PALS certification within 3 months of hire
- Assaultive Behavior Training Certification that meets AB508 and SB1299 within 30 days of hire/transfer
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification "A" required within 3 months of hire/transfer
- EDAP/ENPC course (Two-day) every 4 years (QVH Only)
- ED/ER nursing experience preferred
- 1 year clinical experience preferred
- CEN preferred
- Stroke education requirements (annual 8 hours) for QVH location
- Ability to work every other weekend
