Job Summary
Emergency Services RN in the ED is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care for neonatal through geriatric patients with acute or episodic problems across multiple settings. Responsibilities include life support as needed, patient and significant other education, appropriate referrals, and adherence to legal considerations. Minimum education specifics include BRN-approved pediatric education within 6 months of hire and annual updates; AD/BSN paths may be inferred by nursing licensure; the role requires active California RN licensure, BLS, ACLS and PALS within stated timeframes, and specialized safety and stroke-scale certifications. The role emphasizes delivering timely, compassionate care, strong customer service, and adherence to hospital values and safety policies. The pay range is $48.97 - $74.88 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the State of California
- BLS certification
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- Assaultive Behavior Training Certification meeting AB508 and SB1299
- Complete Emanate Health Workplace Violence online awareness module within 30 days if Assaultive Behavior training done elsewhere
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification "A" within 3 months of hire/transfer
- Stroke Education 8 hours annually for those in QVH
