Job Summary
Provide crisis response and long-term case management services to victims of human trafficking. Conduct initial intakes to identify strengths and needs of HT victims seeking services; maintain case plans and working goals; update case plans regularly. Communicate with community service providers including victim services, law enforcement, and prosecution agencies to secure a range of services. Maintain case files for data input and tracking; accompany clients to court and connect with civil legal assistance as necessary. Some after-hours crisis response, advocacy, and operational support duties on a call-out rotating basis. No direct supervisory responsibilities. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, completion of a 50-hour advocate training, ongoing continuing education, and LVMPD background and contractor badging compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in human services, social work, criminal justice, or related field
- Complete full 50 hour advocate training
- Participate in continuing education activities a minimum of 3 times per year
- Maintain compliance with LVMPD background requirements and LVMPD contractor badging background requirements
