Job Summary
Perform optical assemblies involving lenses, fiber, mirrors, and lasers using procedures, drawings, or internal specifications. Repair and troubleshoot defective products while assisting engineering in building and testing prototypes. Conduct data collection, analysis, and performance testing on optical components, including incoming, in-process, and final inspections. Document inspection reports and collaborate with Quality, Product Design, and Manufacturing teams to address findings. Requires 3+ years of opto-mechanical experience, proficiency with microscopes and measurement tools like calipers and micrometers, and strong attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in opto-mechanical / fiber optics related field
- Experience in optical alignment and assembly using fixtures, hand tools and microscopes
- Experience in performing visual inspections with or without microscope
- Experience in performing measurements using equipment such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, thread gauges, and height gauges
- Ability to document and communicate inspection results in a detailed manner
- Demonstrated ability to achieve result independently and work well with others
- Great communication & computer skills
- Proactive

- Good understanding of engineering principles
- Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and process procedures
- Ability to recommend and implement improvements
