Job Summary
R&D Technician for Hard Product Innovation on Mammoth Brands’ Hard Products team. Responsibilities include operating a variety of lab equipment to perform tests on materials, components, assemblies, and products; accurately recording and reporting test data; prototyping and assembling; designing and fabricating custom fixtures for measurement, inspection, and evaluation; maintaining a safe, organized lab and managing lab inventory; collaborating with a cross-functional team; coordinating shipping/receiving of lab materials and test products; reporting to the Head of Hard Product Innovation and working with Product Design Engineering, Quality, and other in-house teams. Requirements include an Associate’s degree or certification in a relevant technical field (or equivalent practical experience), laboratory/R&D experience with adherence to testing protocols, proficiency with lab equipment and measurement tools, strong attention to detail, effective communication, self-motivation, and a collaborative mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or certification in a relevant technical field (e.g., Mechanical Technology) or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in a laboratory or R&D setting, with a strong emphasis on adhering to testing protocols and accuracy of results
- Proficiency in operating lab equipment for component or product testing
- Solid computer skills for equipment operation and measurement/inspection
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Self-starter; you own your work
- Drives tasks and actions to closure
