Job Summary
Apply technical expertise to support design of new products and processes and improve existing products for next-generation heart valve projects. Assist in the analysis of new design components, plan test requirements, and develop engineering documentation for product changes. Help organize and maintain the R&D laboratory by coordinating equipment calibration, ordering supplies, and ensuring a safe environment for research. Manufacture prototypes for evaluation and training while documenting and consolidating data to facilitate testing with internal resources. Work under limited supervision to ensure the laboratory remains effective for the Structural Heart division's mission of restoring health through device solutions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work with hands to fabricate small to medium size components
- Capable of documenting, consolidating, and organizing data
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and document actions
- Strong communication skills needed for explaining actions and results to engineers facilitating testing of prototypes with internal resources
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with bench testing of heart valves, catheters, and tissue
