Job Summary
Support the upkeep and repair of automated equipment, including PLCs and robotics, by troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and software issues to ensure smooth operation and reduce downtime. Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex vehicle electronic systems, including wiring harnesses, sensors, control modules, and networked systems. Perform hands-on wiring harness work, including soldering, splicing, crimping, and connector repair, while utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment to resolve electrical malfunctions and communication issues. Support vehicle software commissioning by flashing and programming electronic control units, and perform sensor calibration and system commissioning for ADAS-related systems. Conduct initial vehicle diagnostics, root cause analysis, and functional drives to verify repairs and system performance. Maintain accurate vehicle records and support training for new team members on electrical troubleshooting and documentation processes. Collaborate with engineering and validation teams to support development, build readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in daily workshop meetings and maintain a clean, safety-compliant work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 3+ years of professional automotive experience with a strong focus on electrical and electronic systems
- Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing vehicle wiring harnesses, connectors, sensors, and electronic control modules
- Proven ability performing soldering, splicing, crimping, pinning, and harness rework
- Experience using advanced diagnostic tools, including scan tools, multimeters, and oscilloscopes
- Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, electrical diagrams, and vehicle network documentation
- Familiarity with vehicle communication networks such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet
- Experience commissioning vehicle software and calibrating sensors or electronic systems
- Experience working in a workshop, prototype, pre-series, or manufacturing environment
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate vehicles for functional verification and testing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- In-Person Attendance: Daily
- Travel: Applicants should expect that the role may require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and be able to travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time

Desired Qualifications
- Technical Certification or Associate's Degree Preferred
- Certificate in Automotive Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field
- OEM or industry electrical diagnostic training or certification
- Experience with ADAS systems, sensor calibration, and electronic system commissioning
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production facility
- Familiarity with vehicle integration software and data collection tools
- Experience working with Hybrid/Electric (EV) vehicles and HV systems
