Job Summary
R&D Technical Product Owner in ABB Motion, based in Bangalore, leading technology, software, product, and solution development with in-depth engineering expertise. Acts as the first point of contact in R&D for product/technology issues, supports corporate technology management and future product/ software/ solution architecture, and serves as the Product Owner for the team. Responsible for release management for virtual drives, defining acceptance criteria, and ensuring high-quality releases, while aligning product and system requirements with the software development life cycle, integration, unit testing, and continuous integration. Interfaces with product management, program/project management, external vendors, and other teams; may progress into a People Manager role. The role requires strong Embedded C/C++ skills, embedded systems design, SCRUM/Agile proficiency, and experience with drives/ VFD simulation and virtualization of embedded systems, with a hybrid work model in Bangalore, India.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related field
- 12-14 years experience in software application/product design and development
- Minimum 4 years of experience with product ownership
- Experience with Requirements management
- Experience with Integration and Code Repository tools like Git
- Embedded C, C++ expertise
- Embedded System Design and Development
- Experience in Drives / VFD Simulation programming & Virtualization of embedded systems
- Strong understanding of SCRUM and Agile principles with certification as Agile Product Owner
- Ability to communicate product vision and manage cross-functional delivery
- People management potential
