Job Summary
Create the first article of production to establish manufacturing standards and modify existing tools for upcoming products. Construct templates for artwork, perform sheet metal fabrication and MIG welding, and operate the powder coating booth. Build and maintain vacuum form tools while constructing and supervising assembly lines. Train new employees in production processes and lead temporary and full-time staff during manufacturing line construction. Travel to client sites for installation and perform on-site fabrication and repair as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2–5 years of experience in fabrication and tool and die
- Proficiency in welding (MIG), painting, and vacuum forming
- Competence in operating band saws and other machine shop tools
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches
- High level of creativity and problem-solving skills
- Experience in training and leading teams
- Travel is required for this position
- Travel within the service area (primarily domestic) to perform on-site fabrication and repair as needed
