R&D Team Leader

Job Summary
Lead and guide a dedicated R&D team of scientists, technicians and admin staff to execute research and development projects from concept to marketplace. Drive team leadership, performance management, and resource allocation to align with business priorities. Provide technical leadership, act as a resource in own scientific area, lead root cause analyses, and champion change. Responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring to grow R&D capabilities, ensure compliance with health, safety and quality policies, and maintain awareness of regulatory themes. Deliver results by balancing the teams time to meet business outputs, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders across functions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nutritional and licensed medicine landscape topics and support risk management and decision making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in relevant scientific discipline
- proven people management track record within a technical team
- product development experience delivering developments from concept to marketplace
- experience influencing senior-level and cross-functional stakeholders
- coaching and mentoring others
- good working knowledge of food and pharmaceutical regulatory environments (preferred)
- project management process knowledge (preferred)
