Job Summary
Lead the R&D team of 6+ employees, providing mentorship, guiding programming problem-solving, and recruiting new developers. Champion best practices in software development to ensure code quality and security while implementing architecture across all stages of design, monitoring, and scaling. Manage dozens of global websites and contribute to technical and organizational improvements related to processes and infrastructure. Drive product development output and set goals to ensure smooth system operation. Requires 7+ years in software development with deep Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React expertise, plus AWS and container knowledge. Reports to VP R&D.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a tech lead for several years or in your first years as a team lead and want to manage a larger group
- 7+ years of experience in software development and knowledge of software architecture
- 1+ years' experience in managing a team of developers
- Experience with Node.js and server-side development for complex, high-scale applications
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, React, and working with browsers
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with AWS
- Knowledge of source control, CI/CD pipelines, and containers (Docker)
- BSc or MSc in CS / Math / Elec. Engineering
