Job Summary
R&D Tax Associate role focused on managing end-to-end R&D tax relief claims for a portfolio of high-growth tech clients; responsibilities include leading client calls with founders and finance teams, drafting robust technical narratives and cost analyses, preparing and submitting compliant R&D claims (including R&D reports and HMRC submissions), advising on share incentives and EMI/ERS returns, supporting EIS/SEIS compliance, and contributing to scalable processes and knowledge development; requires long-term homeworking experience in the UK, strong technical UK taxation knowledge, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Required Qualifications
- Studying towards ATT or CTA (minimum ATT), with strong exam results and a plan to progress to CTA; or ACCA (or equivalent) qualified and willing to pursue relevant tax qualifications (ATT/CTA).
- 3+ years’ experience, with a strong focus on R&D tax relief, gained in a UK tax practice or within an R&D specialist firm.
