R&D Support Technologist (FTC)

R&D Support Technologist (6-month fixed-term contract) at Valeo Foods UK, based at the York site, supports product development for the confectionery portfolio. Works closely with the R&D Manager and cross-functional teams to deliver development projects, turning concepts into scalable products. Responsibilities include supporting product trials and sample preparation in the pilot plant and factory, managing ingredients and stock for development and trials, maintaining documentation (recipes and specifications), conducting sensory evaluation and shelf-life testing, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, assisting with factory trials and reporting results, and supporting customer and internal visits. The role requires experience or qualification in food science, product development, or a related area, comfort with a hands-on, site-based environment, strong organization and documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate across product development, operations, procurement, technical, and marketing teams.
