Job Summary
Understand variety of cuisines to explain, analyze, and formulate soup in creative and traditional fashion while benchmarking with competitor products. Lead product development activities including conceptualization, formulation, prototype evaluation, optimization, and standardization to ensure shelf-life stability and consistent flavor, color, and texture. Select new materials, negotiate prices, and update vendor lists to reduce costs. Conduct applicable tests and analyses on products to determine inherent properties, research consumer trends and taste preferences, and collaborate with engineers and marketing to keep projects on schedule. Perform production trials, monitor plant capability, and train operations to confirm conformance to design criteria. Prepare necessary documentation including test reports, standard formulations, and process manuals while ensuring food safety compliance with relevant laws.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ year related experience in Research and Development or related field in the food industry
Desired Qualifications
- B.S. degree in nutrition, food science, or food technology
- Bilingual
- proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and Outlook, ERP System
