Job Summary
R&D Scientist (Contract) in Valhalla, NY responsible for conducting and supporting ingredient application programs. Requires BS/MS in Food Science & Technology, Food Chemistry or related field, 3-5 years of experience in the Food Industry, knowledge of food chemistry, carbohydrates, product formulation and development, ingredient technology, and food safety. Must have functional knowledge of analytical test methodologies and data interpretation, ability to independently lead multiple projects and work streams, strong oral and written communication and presentation skills, and willingness to travel as needed. Location: Valhalla, NY, 10595, United States; on-site work with potential travel. Knowledge of analytical methods, project management tools, and cross-functional collaboration preferred.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS Food Science & Technology / Food Chemistry or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in the Food Industry or related area
- Understanding of food chemistry, carbohydrates, product formulation and development, ingredient technology, and food safety
- Functional knowledge of analytical test methodologies and data interpretation
- Ability to lead multiple projects independently
- Self-starter with good oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to travel when needed
