Job Summary
R&D Scientist in Cell Line Development at HIPRA, based at Hipra Campus in Aiguaviva, Girona. Responsibilities include literature reviews and evaluating state-of-the-art technologies for targeted/semi-targeted integration; designing and optimizing protocols for accelerated cell line generation; supervising and monitoring laboratory experiments to ensure data integrity; analyzing results and proposing workflow improvements; designing and constructing expression vectors with regulatory element optimization; collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate high-throughput and automated systems; and documenting activities in compliance with internal and regulatory standards. Requires a PhD in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or related field; proven mammalian cell culture and genetic engineering experience for recombinant protein expression (preferably CHO); knowledge of vector design and antibody biology; proficiency in English; and ability to work independently and lead a work package.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a PhD in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or related field
- Have proven experience in mammalian cell culture and genetic engineering for recombinant protein expression
- Bring both academic and (ideally) pharmaceutical industry experience
- Knowledge of vector design and optimization strategies
- Familiar with antibody biology and expression systems
- Proficiency in spoken and written English for daily task development
- Ability to work independently and lead a specific work package, with strong analytical and creative skills, as well as planning, follow-up, and proactivity
