(R&D) Project Engineer

Job Summary
Design, analyze, and support mechanical products for oilfield drilling and completion, including premium connections for tubing and casing. Responsibilities include managing and documenting R&D projects, developing connection designs, performing FEA on designs, prototyping and evaluating testing programs, developing product specifications, authoring and presenting technical materials, and providing operational support across Engineering and related groups. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, 2–4 years’ design/manufacturing experience in oilfield mechanical products, CAD/SolidWorks proficiency, strong English communication and organizational skills, and the ability to pass required testing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 - 4 years’ experience in design or manufacturing experience with oilfield mechanical products
- Knowledgeable in Drilling and Completion operations and applications a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
- Experience with CAD, preferably Solidworks
- Ability to read, write and speak well in English and possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and execute instructions through strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to pass applicable testing as required
