Job Summary
Develop electromechanical systems from concept through build, test, and deployment in commercial processing plants. Integrate sensors and validate data while conducting scientific literature reviews across fish biology, food science, and chemistry journals. Perform hands-on laboratory testing with fish samples, including sensory analysis evaluating taste, odour, and visual cues. Collaborate within a cross-functional team spanning fish biology, mechanical design, software architecture, and machine learning to iterate rapidly through design cycles. This full-time, in-person role at Shinkei Systems focuses on designing experiments to determine if hyperspectral imaging can predict seafood quality.
