R&D Engineering Assistant

Job Summary
Manage IFS (BOM) system and maintain product structures, creating and maintaining part numbers following company nomenclature. Support mechanical design engineers with documentation and maintain product data management systems to ensure accurate product information. Assist with technical documentation organization and support the Engineering change process for existing and new products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, purchasing, and manufacturing, to support product development plans. Work closely with external suppliers and partners to source components and materials while adhering to the department's NPDI process.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in engineering, Technical Management, (or related field) or Relevant experience
- 2+ years' experience in engineering support or similar role
- Experience with BOM management and product structures with ERP or other product data management systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent documentation skills
- Highly detail-oriented mindset
- Strong organization skills, and ability to work & multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written & verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related field), or Relevant engineering experience
- Proficiency in IFS
- Experience with technical documentation
- Familiarity with engineering drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of busbar products and manufacturing processes
