Job Summary
R&D Engineer for Low-Voltage UL Switchboard design and development. Responsible for designing electrical parts for switchboard/switchgear products, supporting from concept through production, coordinating CE/UL testing, and collaborating with mechanical, firmware/software, system test, manufacturing, and supply-chain teams. Key duties include designing control systems and low-voltage enclosures, maintaining components in design tools, coordinating prototypes with contract resources or manufacturers, and developing electrical safety test cases. Requires experience with DC/AC power equipment (24V–48Vdc, 400V-3ph-50Hz, 480V-3Ph-60Hz), EL CAD tools, and ability to debug and validate manufacturing tests, plus strong communication and teamwork. Travel 10%.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in control wiring design and implementation
- 2-3 years of experience using Electrical panel Life cycle management or Product documentation management tools
- Proficiency in writing functional requirements and documenting designs
- Experience with ELCAD schematic or similar tools
- Ability to debug, validate, and develop/support manufacturing tests in electrical equipment
- Experience in design for testability and manufacturability
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Travel Required: 10%
