R&D Engineer

Role Overview: We are looking for a research engineer/scientist in the field of Computational Geometry, Design Optimization, Algorithm Design, and Machine Learning. You will join a team of software developers, mechanical engineers, clinical experts, and fellow researchers to create next-generation solutions for Spark and Digital Orthodontics. Primary duties include investigating digital orthodontics workflows to identify automation opportunities, developing advanced algorithms for automatic processing and prediction of photographic, volumetric, geometric and meta data, prototyping with iterative validation, designing experiments and metrics, delivering high-fidelity prototypes for handover to product teams, producing technical reports, and collaborating across cross-functional groups. Preferred qualifications include solid C++ and OO programming, 3D modeling techniques, AI knowledge, and experience in healthcare (FDA-regulated) contexts.
