Job Summary
R&D Embedded Software Engineer responsible for designing and developing software for embedded products. Responsibilities include defining software architecture under supervision, autonomously developing and debugging software elements, soliciting and managing SW component requirements, applying internal new-product development processes, designing and implementing complex subsystems within an embedded product using software engineering best practices, independently making design decisions and leading deep technical discussions, troubleshooting with Validation and Verification teams, studying competitor products, preparing status reports and documentation, and participating in peer reviews of designs and code. Required skills include modern C++ on Linux, Linux user-space programming and debugging, CI/CD practices, Git, Jenkins, CMake, and familiarity with embedded systems (cross-compiling) and Yocto. Fluent Italian and English are required.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Software Engineering or Computer Science
- At least 3 years of experience with C++ on Linux
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Good knowledge of programming languages (modern C++)
- Familiar with Linux user space programming and debugging
- Familiar with CI/CD practices (test driven development, automatic testing)
- Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, CMake
- Experience with embedded systems (cross-compiling) is a plus
- Ability to design and implement complex software subsystems and whole systems
- Ability to autonomously lead deep technical discussions and troubleshoot with Validation and Verification teams
