Job Summary
R&D Electrical Engineer at ABB leading and contributing to medium-voltage technology in Instrument Transformers, Cutouts, and Switches. You will work as an independent and reliable contributor within an R&D team to build concepts, gather requirements, design, implement, integrate, test, transfer technology, and maintain systems while driving quality, schedule, and cost targets. Requires 2+ years MV experience, strong MV power distribution and power systems knowledge, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), and fluent English; onsite role in Pinetops, NC, USA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in the Medium-Voltage space
- Strong background working with R&D teams in the Metering, Protection, & Control market
- Fluent English communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in the US
