Job Summary
Develop innovative cosmetic formulas by reverse-engineering marketed products, creating submissions, and scaling up processes while ensuring customer formulation integrity. Conduct research on industry trends, assist in testing raw and finished materials, and troubleshoot production issues. Monitor initial batches, modify existing procedures, and maintain compliance with cGMP and safety standards. Collaborate with QC, Quality Assurance, and production teams to deliver top-quality goods.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Chemistry or related science
- Must have a minimum of 3 years laboratory experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. as a pre-condition of employment
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Flexibility with schedule including shift work
- Overtime may be required with very little notice
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision
- Ability to stand
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and/or smell
- Ability to occasionally walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years Product development (Innovation) experience is preferred
