Job Summary
R&D Atomic Physicist in Brooklyn Park, MN to design, develop, verify, and deploy quantum computing systems using trapped ions as qubits; collaborate with engineers and scientists to bring concepts to life, collect data on system performance, characterize device characteristics, and present results at conferences or in publications. Requires hands-on experience in experimental laboratory research and one or more of: quantum information, qubits, cold atom or trapped ion physics; must have PhD and 4+ years of experience; U.S. person status due to contractual requirements; pre-employment drug test required.
Required Qualifications
- PhD completed prior to starting
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience involving one or more of the following areas: quantum information, qubits, cold atom or trapped ion physics
- Must be a U.S. Person defined as US citizen, permanent resident or green card holder
- Not a national of the People's Republic of China or Russia unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen
