Job Summary
State Street’s Alpha Data Operations Senior Specialist – Senior Associate role focuses on ensuring timely, accurate data delivery to clients, acting as a subject-matter expert for data operations and processes, performing root-cause analysis of data issues, supporting testing and post-go-live transitions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Implementation, Service Management, IT). The role emphasizes data management, automation, process improvements, and contributing to global data operations practices, with exposure to Middle Office/Finance data domains (e.g., Corporate Actions, Derivatives, Analytics) and strong SQL/database skills. Strong communication, collaboration, and English language skills are required, along with familiarity with Agile tools (JIRA, Rally, RTC) and data vendors such as Bloomberg.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Data Management, Finance, Business or equivalent
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills
- Experience 3-5 years in Financial Services or Data fields
- Knowledge of Bloomberg and/or other market data vendors
- Knowledge of financial instruments from static data perspective
- Strong technical skills e.g. SQL, database design
- Experience with data quality controls and multiple systems
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and related tools (JIRA, Rally, RTC)
