R 3328 Personal Care Teacher Assistant BIS

Assist the teacher in achieving educational objectives by working with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning, guide independent study, and implement student behavior plans. Monitor and assist with student health concerns, toileting, personal care, and hygiene as needed. Collect, maintain, and organize student data, portfolios, and work samples, while facilitating social interaction and organizing desk materials. Demonstrate ethical behavior, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to the restraint program certification. Work in a K-12 school environment requiring frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires one year of college and awareness of child growth and development.
