Job Summary
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and documentation to prepare accurate and competitive quotes. Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to gather necessary information, then utilize ERP systems and quoting software to generate price proposals and manage quote lifecycles. Communicate directly with customers to clarify requirements, provide updates, and address inquiries while negotiating pricing and terms to secure orders. Maintain accurate records of all quotes, including revisions, communications, and outcomes, and identify process improvements to enhance efficiency. This role supports multiple partner companies in Whitehall, MI, focusing on long-term fit within the manufacturing region.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in a quoting or estimating role within the manufacturing industry
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and quoting software
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field is preferred
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for tracking quotes and customer interactions
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for accessing product data and pricing information
