Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to gather necessary information, utilizing ERP systems to develop detailed cost breakdowns and pricing proposals. Communicate effectively with customers to clarify requirements, provide updates, and address inquiries while negotiating pricing and terms to secure orders. Maintain and update a comprehensive database of pricing, product information, and customer interactions. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within the quoting function. This role supports manufacturing companies in the Caledonia region through the Pivot Group Network, focusing on match-driven placements based on commute, compensation, culture, and career trajectory.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a quoting or estimating role within the manufacturing sector
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost drivers
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and quoting software
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external collaboration
