Quotations Specialist - ( Lighting/ Switchgear/ Commercial Construction )

Job Summary
Develops proposals and quotations for lighting, switchgear, and distribution equipment in response to client requests; coordinates with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and product teams to ensure quotation content is complete, accurate, and timely. Identifies potential projects for bid, compiles material requirements (including lighting, switchgear, and other distribution apparatuses), negotiates pricing with suppliers, and prepares bid submittals. Performs material take-offs, communicates with customers to resolve issues during the bidding process, and follows up on outstanding quotations. Maintains catalogs and price lists, and may provide general customer service after project award. Travel up to 25%. Requires ability to read specifications and blueprints, and strong math, analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School degree or equivalent required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- 2 to 5 years of related experience
- 2+ years of experience interacting with customers and/or supplier representatives to obtain pricing information
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and blueprints
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Broad knowledge of product lines and pricing strategies preferred
- Previous experience putting together bid packages preferred
- Ability to travel up to 25%
