Job Summary
Quotations Specialist engaged to interpret project requirements from architects, builders, engineers, contractors, and business owners to create competitive quotations and submittal packages. Responsible for providing exceptional customer service to secure sales and meet gross profit targets, negotiating pricing and delivery terms with vendors and customers, and generating pricing contracts based on accepted quotations. Duties include preparing accurate quotation packages from customer specifications/drawings, following up on outstanding quotations to secure orders, ensuring orders are filled promptly, resolving pricing shortfalls and material returns, and supporting the Profit Centre Team with project/product information. Requires attention to detail, ability to work under tight timelines, and strong communication skills to maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop comprehensive product and product application knowledge
- Intermediate math skills
- Preference for knowledge of plumbing and building products (preferred)
- Knowledge of the construction industry (preferred)
- Experience with Trend and Eclipse (preferred)
