Quick Lube Technician (Full Time)

Job Summary
Lubricates moving parts of vehicles, drains oil from crankcases, and replaces oil and air filters while inspecting fluid levels and tire pressure. Performs work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, selling lubrication, safety inspection, and related services. Trains with an experienced technician for 30 to 60 days, maintaining records on customers and ensuring vehicles remain clean. Communicates with the parts department, documents all work, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal. Maintains dealership tools and manuals, operates equipment safely, and participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Good Driving Record
- Completes GM Fundamentals for Tech Apprentice within the first six months of employment
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
