Job Summary
Perform maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles, prioritizing work flow with the manager to meet demands. Coordinate with the Part Department to ensure parts availability and complete service assignments that pass quality inspections or test drives. Road test vehicles to verify repairs, suggest additional work to the Service Advisor, and assist in explaining completed repairs to customers. Promote the dealership by maintaining a professional image, positive attitude, and clean work area while meeting productivity and quality goals. Obtain and maintain Ford Technician certifications and utilize personal devices to share repair photos and videos. Work 40 hours per week with guaranteed pay plus incentives, supported by a senior master certified foreman. Required Qualifications
- At least 1+ years of automotive repair and maintenance
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Proficiency in the use of common mechanic shop tools, equipment and computer software
- Must be a team player
- Must be reliable and on time
- Exceptional ability to learn and grow
- Amazing work ethic
- Detail oriented
- Ability to learn from veteran staff and foreman
- Outstanding ability to work with a team and take direction
- Ability and willingness to adopt modern technology and take on additional duties
- Use of your personal cell phone to share photos and videos of recommended repairs with various applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in use of basic computer and phone systems
- Ability to bend, move, lift and physically perform duties in the scope of this position
- Obtain and maintain Ford Technician certifications
- Must be adaptive to and embrace change
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
