Coordinate total nursing care for patients in the ICU, participate in patient and family teaching, and provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel. Assess and identify patient problems/needs, establish a plan of care, implement interventions, and evaluate and revise the patient plan of care based on patient progress. Assist, support, and educate patients while utilizing the nursing process to demonstrate clinical competence. Float to Med/Surg occasionally when needed. Requires 2 years of ICU experience, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
