Job Summary
Monitor, observe, and report client activities while providing structure and support for the clinical person-centered treatment plan. Deliver assistance with crisis management, de-escalation, and restraints as needed. Monitor and record patient vitals, complete unit rounds, and provide therapeutic support within the inpatient mental health unit. This role requires 6 months of CNA or BHT experience with psych/behavioral health, strong crisis management skills, and trauma-informed care commitment. Candidates must possess a CNA license or BcBA certification, BLS certification, and work nights from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. for a guaranteed 40-hour week. Sage Group HealthCare Staffing offers $1000 weekly gross pay including travel and housing stipends for eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months of experience working as CNA or BHT with psych/behavioral health experience
- Strong crisis management and de-escalation skills
- Experience providing therapeutic rapport
- Excellent communication and observation skills
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Physical ability to support patient care, including potential restraint use per policy
- Commitment to trauma-informed care and patient-centered practices
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- CNA license for PA or BcBA Certification
- BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross
Desired Qualifications
- CNA license for PA or BcBA Certification - Highly preferred
- HWC Certification -or CPI Certification or Similar
