Job Summary
Queen Anne Tearoom's Manager responsible for the overall daily running of the Queen Anne Tearoom at Edinburgh Castle. Lead, motivate and manage a large team in a high-volume service setting; ensure consistently high standards of customer service; manage rotas, staffing levels and resources to meet business needs; work within agreed budgets, controlling costs and maximising efficiency; monitor and deliver against KPIs to drive performance; maintain positive rapport with customers and team members; ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and food standards; proven managerial experience in hospitality or visitor attractions; flexible with working days/hours including weekends and holidays; resides within commutable distance of Edinburgh Castle. Knowledge: Microsoft Office applications; organisational and analytical skills; planning ability; negotiating and communication skills; leadership and report-writing; financial management. Skills: hospitality/catering background, HACCP understanding, leadership, and customer service excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Proven managerial experience in a similar high-volume hospitality or visitor attraction setting
- Flexible with working days and hours, including weekends and holidays
- Lives within a commutable distance of Edinburgh Castle
- Strong leadership and team-management abilities
- Ability to manage rotas, staffing levels and resources
- Knowledge of health & safety and food standards (HACCP)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience in budgeting and achieving KPIs
