Quarry Operative

Quarry Operative responsible for operating mobile and fixed plant (dump trucks, loading shovels, crushers, screeners) safely, assisting in extraction, crushing, and processing of raw materials, performing routine maintenance and checks, loading/unloading materials, following production schedules, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures. Must work outdoors in a quarry environment, contribute to a clean and organized site, and support site inspections and audits. Essential skills include competence with heavy plant (CPCS/MPQC advantageous), basic mechanical knowledge, strong safety awareness, good communication and teamwork, and reliability; desirable qualifications include MPQC or NVQ Level 2 in Extractives Operations and health and safety training.
