Job Summary
Quarry Operative responsible for operating mobile and fixed plant (dump trucks, loading shovels, crushers, screeners), assisting in extraction, crushing and processing of raw materials, and conducting routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery. You will follow health, safety and environmental procedures, load/unload materials, and support site inspections and audits. The role requires flexibility to work across different tasks at the quarry and to work outdoors in all weather conditions, with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, reliability, and adherence to production schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Competence in operating plant or machinery (e.g. loading shovel, excavator, dumper truck)
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform simple maintenance tasks
- Understanding of health and safety practices
- Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Good communication and teamwork skills
