Job Summary
Manage all quarry operations with a focus on safety, production goals, quality standards, and environmental compliance. Strategize objectives to align with company mission, directing plant activities across production, maintenance, quality, and logistics. Craft maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enforce cost control strategies within budget constraints. Nurture teams of supervisors and operators through training and performance assessments while serving as principal contact for suppliers, regulatory agencies, and the local community. Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and environmental legislations. Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Geology required with 5-7 years of experience. Flexible work hours including weekends and evenings. SRM Concrete is a family-owned leader in the ready mix concrete industry with over 600 locations nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field
- Minimum of [5-7] years of experience in quarry or mining management, showing a track record of operational success
- Solid comprehension of quarry and mining operations including excavation, drilling, blasting, and material processing
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with proven effectiveness in guiding a diverse team
- Extensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards in the mining or quarry sector
- Demonstrated proficiency in cost control and process improvement initiatives
- Flexibility with work hours, as operations may necessitate work during weekends and evenings
