Job Summary
Loader Operator operates a front-end loader/dozer to move aggregate materials, stockpiles materials unloaded from railcars, and loads customer trucks. Responsibilities include safe and efficient operation, pre-shift safety inspections, basic maintenance, report repairs, maintain cargo safety, and assist with plant maintenance. Requires adherence to MSHA/OSHA rules, strong safety focus, and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Travel for orientation (San Antonio, TX) with accommodations & reimbursements for trips over 50 miles. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays. Read manuals, interpret gauges, communicate with coworkers via CB/hand signals, and complete daily reports.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- 1 year of heavy equipment experience; loader operator experience preferred
- Experience with a variety of hand tools
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, possible weekends, overtime, and holidays
- Must be able to read equipment operating manual
- Must be able to complete pre-shift inspection report
- Must be able to communicate over CB radio or with hand signals and warning sounds
- Must be able to wear all required safety equipment
- Must be able to read and interpret gauges
- Must be able to work in a team environment
