Job Summary
Quantum Scientist - Applied QEC role supporting partners to design, run and interpret quantum computing experiments using Riverlane's DeltaKit, deploying quantum applications and QEC-related solutions into partner environments, and contributing to internal research. You will work with customers across North America to translate experimental goals into practical implementations, analyze results, diagnose issues, and present findings at customer meetings, workshops and conferences. The role involves collaboration with internal research and product teams, and occasional travel within the USA and to the UK. The position requires close collaboration with customers, strong communication, and the ability to operate within an interdisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- A PhD in Physics, Experimental Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Research experience in quantum computing, gained in academia or industry
- Experience designing, running and analyzing experiments or simulations using research-grade tools
- An interest in quantum error correction and applying research in real-world settings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting or discussing technical work
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the USA and to the UK
