Job Summary
Quantum architects at PsiQuantum research and develop architectures for fault tolerant photonic quantum computers, focusing on large-scale simulations for evaluating performance methods. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining simulation software, running analyses, managing data, and collaborating closely with domain experts. The role requires extensive experience with Python and collaborative development tools, along with a strong foundation in physics or computer science. Ideal candidates will have a postgraduate degree, knowledge of quantum information, and experience in software engineering within an R&D environment. This position is pivotal in bridging quantum research and software development to enhance scalable quantum solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Physics, Math, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of collaborative software engineering experience
- Knowledge of quantum information and linear optics
- Extensive experience with Python
- Experience with a lower-level language such as C++
- Experience with collaborative software development tools and best practices
Desired Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree related to quantum information or technology
- Familiarity with linear optical quantum computing
- Familiarity with quantum error correction
- Familiarity with quantum networks
- Familiarity with error modeling
- Experience with graphical calculus (e.g. ZX calculus)
- Experience with tensor networks
