Job Summary
This internship will help develop skills in client-facing roles, financial research, and building technical solutions. Interns will work independently to debug Python, deploy infrastructure, and assist with workflow testing of bespoke solutions. The role requires excellent communication, both to technical and non-technical audiences, and includes liaising with clients and various teams. Key responsibilities include developing REST APIs, maintaining production systems, analyzing client queries, and supporting client use of research functionality.
Required Qualifications
- Full-time STEM, Economics or Finance undergraduate or masters student
- Experience programming in Python, C/C++, Java
- Experience with statistical analysis, numerical programming, or machine learning in Python, Pandas, R
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written & oral communication skills
- Passion for financial markets and using technology to solve real world problems
- Self starter, comfortable taking initiative and working independently
- Creative collaborator who thrives in evolving environments
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to grasp complex topics and apply knowledge across various disciplines
- Intellectual curiosity & ability to get deep into the details to solve tough problems
- Experience founding or leading a major project with end to end responsibility at university
- Proven leadership or team management in a university project, startup, or other entrepreneurial initiative
