Job Summary
M&E Quantity Surveyor responsible for the commercial delivery of mechanical and electrical packages on a major power generation project. Manage cost plans, budgets and forecasts specific to M&E works; procure and manage M&E subcontractors and suppliers; contract administration (NEC or similar); manage variations, valuations, and change control; prepare interim applications and final accounts; monitor costs, identify risks and drive value engineering; collaborate closely with project, engineering and delivery teams to ensure commercial objectives are met.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical services (HVAC, pipework, cabling, etc.)
- Experience working on complex, high-value projects within sectors such as power, industrial, or infrastructure
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts (or similar)
- Experience managing subcontractor packages through the full lifecycle
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Building Services
- Chartered status (MRICS) or working towards
