Job Summary
Quantity Surveyor responsible for managing all commercial and contractual aspects of assigned projects from inception to completion within the renewable energy and wind sector. Accountabilities include preparing, submitting, and negotiating valuations, variations, and final accounts; monitoring project costs, expenditure and cash flow for accurate forecasting; supporting contract administration (NEC/FIDIC or similar); providing commercial guidance to project managers and engineering teams; reviewing subcontractor quotations and managing subcontract accounts; identifying and mitigating commercial risks in line with governance; contributing to tendering, pricing and commercial strategy; maintaining up-to-date project records for internal reporting; fostering relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Engineer or similar commercial role within engineering, construction, utilities, or energy sectors.
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts (or other relevant forms of contract).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Proficient in cost management tools, financial reporting and MS Office.
