Job Summary
Quantity Surveyor needed for contract role in Scotland within a renewable energy and wind-project portfolio. Responsible for managing all commercial and contractual aspects from inception to completion, preparing and negotiating valuations, variations, and final accounts, monitoring project costs and cash flow, supporting NEC/FIDIC contract administration, providing commercial guidance to project teams, reviewing subcontractor quotations, mitigating commercial risk, contributing to tendering and pricing strategy, maintaining accurate project records, and fostering client and supplier relationships. Requires degree qualification relevant to Quantity Surveying or related field (or equivalent experience), solid experience in NEC contracts, ability to manage multiple projects, strong numerical and negotiation skills, and proficiency with cost management tools and MS Office.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Engineer or similar commercial role within engineering, construction, utilities, or energy sectors
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts (or other relevant forms of contract)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Proficient in cost management tools, financial reporting and MS Office
